Associate Editor
Job Type: Full time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 Annually
Work Location: Remote
Job Description:
- Assisting senior editors with tasks related to the publication.
- Checking the content, spelling, style, and grammar of submitted work.
- Performing research and fact-checking on topics for the company.
- Assisting with page layouts and publication design tasks.
- Providing guidance to other staff members on writing conventions and style.
- Collaborating with designers, writers, and photographers.
- Assisting in Event Coordination as and when required
- Performing editing and proofing on submitted articles.
- Updating social media and other online content.
- Filing and archiving submissions, scripts, and writing pieces for the company.
Qualifications:
- 2 + years’ experience, mastery of grammar, punctuations, and spelling
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, English, or Journalism
- Knowledge of various programs used
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- The ability to meet tight deadlines
- Organization skills
